Toronto Man turned Vancouverite

Hello from the west coast!

This has been a long time coming, and I still pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.

After three years working as a TV reporter with CTV in Lethbridge and Kitchener, I decided to make the leap and switch careers into Public Relations. I have stories to share at a later time, and lessons I learned that I believe are beneficial to both journalists and the general public.

Many personal and professional factors were taken into consideration before my wife and I felt it was the right time to leave Ontario and start this new chapter. It’s only been a few weeks, but it feels like we made the right choice.

We were always working toward getting here, but never thought it would finally happen so soon. When you see an opportunity, you take it right? So here we are.

There’s fresh mountain air, cool ocean breezes, and yes, more rain than I’m used to, but it beats snow everyday of the week. I’m just not made for winter and I’m not afraid to admit it. That said, I am looking forward to Whistler and hitting the slopes when winter rolls around.

Toronto is always going to be home, but Vancouver definitely has my heart. Hopefully, this is the last big move we’ll ever have to make. But as I said before, you can’t turn down a great opportunity.

Cheers to new beginnings!
