I just turned 30 today, but I’m already eager to meet you. I know you already know who I am, but I can’t wait to meet the person you’ve become.
As you very well know, I’ve always been excited to be an adult – so I feel I’ve been living the best years of my life for some time now.
I hope that when we meet, you’ve accomplished all that you set out to by 40 with your family life, career and personal ambitions. I hope nothing has held you back from achieving your goals.
I want to hear about the adventures you’ve had over the course of this next decade. I’m interested to know what lessons life has taught you during this time.
I expect to see you’ve continued to be honest with those around you.
I’m confident the paths you’ve taken in life and whatever choices you made were for the best.
I beg you’ve been able to maintain your health and haven’t used age as an excuse for a dad bod.
I hope that when we meet, you’ve become a father – and a great one at that. That your kids have picked up your best habits, abandoned your worst ones, and learned from your mistakes. I have no doubt they know they’re unconditionally loved and supported to do anything they dream of.
In the meantime, I’m preparing for our meeting. I see the gray hairs coming in and the gradual process of aging starting to kick in. My mind, body and spirit are beginning to sense that I’m entering a new phase of life. I’m doing all I can to make the adjustment as easy as possible.
See you soon!
Zayn
